This is the Glossary for my book, BHOJ, Festival Foods of India, a publication of M/s Rupa Publications India Pvt Ltd.
The glossary provides Hindi and Tamil transliterations for various terms in the book, as well as detailed descriptions in English
BHOJ documents the festival foods prepared across diverse regions and faiths in India. Many of these names-as well as those of some key ingredients-appear in their regional languages and do not have direct English equivalents.
Accordingly, this glossary transliterates key terms into Hindi and Tamil, two of my working languages alongside English.
